The mark is a dome carried on ten columns, with an opening at its centre. The columns are the ten. The opening is The One: the person the whole structure is drawn to hold.
The Residency is the system. The One is the reason it exists, a single principal, held at the centre, with nothing between them and the standard.
Two ways to be held by the practice.
Access to the system
A standing place in an Architect's cohort, and the full method maintained on your behalf. You share one mind with nine others, each held to the same standard.
Ownership of the system
An Architect held in full, for one principal. The whole of the practice, integrated into the whole of a life, with no cohort and no division of attention.
There is room for one.
The One is not applied for in the ordinary sense. It begins with a single, private conversation, and proceeds only if both parties are certain.
